LocurAI

Frequently asked questions

Everything worth knowing about LocurAI — what it does, how it works, and how to get the most out of it.

What is LocurAI?+

LocurAI is an AI city tour planner. You tell it a city, your interests and how much time you have, and it generates a personalized, self-guided walking tour in seconds — numbered stops on a map, each with a photo, a description and an optional local legend. It's an iOS app, and this website lets anyone browse the public tours.

How does it work?+

Pick a city and a starting point, choose how long you want to walk and what you're into (sights, food & drink, parks, museums, kids, nightlife and more), and the AI builds an ordered route. You can then walk it, listen to the descriptions, share it or export it to PDF.

Is LocurAI free?+

The app is free to download, and generating tours with short descriptions is free. Medium and long descriptions, and translating a finished tour, use credits you can buy in the app. Browsing public tours on this website is completely free.

Which cities are supported?+

Any city. LocurAI isn't limited to a fixed list — the AI generates a walking tour for whatever location you enter, from major capitals to small towns.

What languages are available?+

Tours can be generated in 21 languages, and a finished tour can be translated into another language afterwards. The app and website interface are available in English and Hungarian.

Do I need an account?+

You can try LocurAI as a guest in the app without registering. To keep your tours synced across devices and to view them on this website, sign in with an account. Accounts are created in the app, not on the website.

Which platforms is it on?+

iOS is available now on the App Store. An Android version is in testing and coming soon. This website works in any modern browser.

Can I use a tour offline?+

Yes — you can export a tour to PDF and take it with you offline. The interactive map itself needs an internet connection.

How accurate are the map locations?+

Stops are placed using AI lookups, so a position can occasionally be approximate. If a stop appears far from the others on the map, double-check it before heading there.

Can I share my tours or make them public?+

Yes. Each tour can be public or private. Public tours can be browsed and rated by others — here on the website you can search them, open any tour, and (when signed in) leave a rating. Private tours are visible only to you.

What data does LocurAI collect?+

We collect only what's needed to run the service: your email, login name, language preference and the tours you create. Your location is used only on your device and is never stored on our servers. See the Privacy Policy for the full details.
